I'm Rasta, an interior designer, artist, and the creative force behind our studio. My design philosophy is rooted in storytelling—crafting spaces that reflect not only beauty and function, but also the emotion and narrative behind each client’s journey.
I grew up in the Netherlands, where I was immersed in a culture of art, design, and thoughtful living from a young age. After studying art and design, I moved to North America, where I initially worked in the corporate world as a graphic designer. While I gained valuable experience in visual communication and branding, I eventually returned to my true passion—interior architecture and design.
Today, my work spans luxury residential, boutique hospitality, wellness, retail, and commercial environments. I specialize in creating personalized, boutique-style spaces that are functional, emotionally resonant, and built around the way people truly live, gather, and connect.
Leading our boutique studio, I collaborate with a trusted team of experts in space planning, FF&E, custom detailing, construction documentation, and 3D visualization. We integrate design innovation with craftsmanship and precision—offering full-service interior design and consulting tailored to each client’s vision and lifestyle.
I also serve as Director of Interior Design with Shokati Architects in Southern California, providing fully integrated architectural and interior design solutions from concept through construction.
Outside the studio, I’m an artist at heart. My original paintings have been featured in galleries and curated collections, and many of my interior projects include thoughtfully selected or commissioned pieces from my work—infusing each space with a personal and artful touch. www.rasta-designs.com

I'm Ellie Babaie, head of marketing and client experience & event. I grew up in London; a city where classic elegance meets cutting-edge style and from a young age, I found myself drawn to art, design, and the transformative power of color. My journey has taken me across continents, working in both Europe and North America, absorbing global aesthetics and discovering how thoughtfully curated environments can evoke emotion, shift energy, and leave a lasting impression.
My professional background spans marketing, brand storytelling, and luxury experiences, but my true passion lies in bringing beauty to life through elevated design. As Head of Marketing and Client Experiences & Events, I have the rare privilege of combining strategic vision with artistic intuition, translating abstract dreams into stunning visual realities.
At our boutique firm, we don’t follow trends; we set them. We’re not for everyone, and that’s intentional. We work exclusively with discerning clients who seek originality, refinement, and the kind of luxury that speaks in quiet confidence. Our interiors are layered with texture, soul, and surprise. Our events are immersive, unforgettable moments that reflect our clients’ essence in every detail.
